SYTYCD

This post is dedicated to Brian. Last night when I got home Merilee was laying in bed watching TV. I walked in and she had some reality show on. Come to find out it was Brian's second favorite show! SYTYCD (that's So You Think You Can Dance for you non-SYTYCD maniacs)!!! I watched a few minutes. Just a few thoughts...

1. I can't believe they kept the breakdancer instead of the guy who really could dance!
2. How come they have so many judges?
3. The contestants seem a little overwhelmed with emotion each time they hear what the judges have to say. Is this because they are dancers, full of emotion, stressed to the gills or just lame?
4. The girl at the end, she really needs a PR rep. How could you say to the judges that if they cut you, you won't be back. Duh! And, they kept her anyway???

On a different note...
Mason had a baseball game last night. He played well. He has been pitching really well the last few games. In the 3rd inning I go by the dugout and he shows me his mit. It had ripped in the webbing. He said "Dad, I need a new mit, mine ripped." I asked him if he could even play and he said yes, he wasn't going to sit out of the game for the last few innings, that's for sure! His team won pretty handily. They have won 3 in a row now. Quite suprising actually. I think they have 3 or 4 good players and 3 or 4 players that should be playing a league or two down. Anyway, a very fun way to spend an evening. Tonight we get to see two games. Boston plays at 6:00 and Mason plays at 8:00 under the lights. We need to remember to bring our blankets, these nights games are pretty chilly.

I'm so glad to see life on your blog. I kind of had the same thoughts about SYTYCD the other night. What is with all the crying?

I love Mason's attitude. I loved watching the boys play their games a couple years ago. I wish we could come up this year, but with gas hitting over $4/gal. I don't think were going much of anywhere.

I actually kind of liked the show. Yes, there was a little too much crying but they were exhausted. I cry when I'm that tired too.

Update on last nights games.
Bos and mas pitched. They did great. They both won their games. Bos even hit in the winning run!

SYTYCD gets better after they pick the top 20. I LOVE IT! It's much better than Project Runway....I'm just saying.

I like how you always comment on the weather there. The nights are so nice here that you don't need a blanket. It's perfect. Maybe you need to move back...

Shari it will only be nice there in the evenings for another week. It will begin to be beautiful here for the next 5 months!

Elise the kids will be so sad to hear you're not coming. Boo hoo...

Great job boys! How are Sid's softball games going? SYTYCD does get much better after the try outs. I love that show too. I'm jealous of the cool nights that need blankets. We aren't going to be able to go up there in July anymore either. I'm so sad about it

Sheri I can't believe you just said it was better than Project Runway. I am stunned. WTF! Come on! Better than PR? Oh, I can't type what is going through my head right now.

Megan you just crushed Merilee's summer.
